Please read these terms carefully before booking DJ Effects for your event.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern any booking, inquiry, or use of the website operated by DJ Effects ("DJ Effects," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a booking inquiry, signing a service agreement, or otherwise engaging DJ Effects for event entertainment services, you ("client," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services or this website.
For a specific event, these Terms work together with any individual service agreement, invoice, or written confirmation DJ Effects provides you. Where a signed agreement and these Terms conflict, the signed agreement controls.
2. Our Services
DJ Effects provides professional DJ and event entertainment services, including but not limited to music performance, sound equipment, wireless microphones, optional uplighting, and event coordination support for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, and other private and public celebrations throughout Metro Atlanta, Georgia.
The specific scope of services for your event (hours, equipment, add-ons such as uplighting) is defined by the package you select and confirm with DJ Effects, not solely by marketing descriptions on this website.
3. Booking & Deposits
Submitting an inquiry through this website (including the Event Planner tool or Contact form) is a request for services, not a confirmed booking. A date and time are considered reserved only once DJ Effects confirms availability in writing and the required deposit has been received.
A deposit of 25% of the total estimated package price is required to secure your event date. Deposits are calculated based on the hours, guest count, and add-ons (such as uplighting) selected at the time of booking, and may be adjusted if those details change.
The online availability calendar on this website reflects DJ Effects' current schedule but does not guarantee that a date remains open between the time you view it and the time your deposit is received. Dates are held on a first-deposit, first-reserved basis.
4. Payment
The remaining balance of your package total is due no later than [TIME PERIOD — e.g., 14 days before the event], unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods and any applicable processing fees will be provided at booking.
Any additional services requested after booking (extra hours, additional equipment, travel outside the standard service area) may incur additional charges, which will be communicated and agreed upon before the event.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
The section below is a starting template only. Cancellation and refund terms carry real legal and financial weight — confirm the exact policy you intend to enforce, and have it reviewed by an attorney, before publishing.
- Deposits are non-refundable, as they reserve your date and turn away other inquiries for that same date.
- Cancellations made more than [X days] before the event may be eligible for a partial refund of any payments beyond the deposit, less any costs already incurred.
- Cancellations made within [X days] of the event are not eligible for a refund of amounts paid.
- One complimentary date change is permitted if requested at least [X days] before the original event date, subject to availability. Additional date changes may incur a rescheduling fee.
- If DJ Effects must cancel due to circumstances within its control, any amounts paid will be refunded in full or applied to a rescheduled date, at the client's choice.
6. Client Responsibilities
To help your event run smoothly, you agree to:
- Provide accurate event details (date, time, venue, guest count, timeline) with reasonable advance notice.
- Confirm venue access, load-in windows, and any venue-specific requirements (power access, noise ordinances, insurance requirements) in advance of the event.
- Submit music preferences, must-play and do-not-play lists, and any special announcements within the timeframe requested by DJ Effects.
- Ensure a safe, reasonably weatherproof (for outdoor events) performance area with access to standard electrical power, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
7. Performance, Equipment & Venue Requirements
DJ Effects will make reasonable efforts to arrive with sufficient time for setup and sound check before the scheduled start time. DJ Effects provides professional-grade equipment and reasonable backup measures, but is not responsible for service interruptions caused by venue power failures, third-party equipment, or conditions outside our control.
DJ Effects reserves the right to adjust music selection and volume to comply with venue policies, local noise ordinances, or safety considerations, while making reasonable efforts to honor client preferences.
8. Force Majeure
Neither party is responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, government order, extended power or venue failure, or other circumstances that could not reasonably be foreseen or avoided. In such cases, DJ Effects will work in good faith with the client to reschedule or otherwise resolve the situation fairly.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DJ Effects' total liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the total amount paid by the client for those services. DJ Effects is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost enjoyment of an event, except where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
DJ Effects maintains professional equipment and practices, but is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage caused by the negligence of the venue, other vendors, or event guests.
10. Photos, Video & Testimonials
DJ Effects may photograph or record portions of an event for portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes. If you prefer that photos or video from your event not be used publicly, please notify DJ Effects in writing before your event date, and we will honor that request.
11. Use of This Website
The Event Planner tool and pricing calculator on this website provide estimates based on the information you enter; they do not constitute a binding quote or confirmed booking. The availability calendar reflects DJ Effects' schedule as of its last update and is provided for planning convenience, not as a guarantee.
You agree not to misuse this website, including attempting to interfere with its normal operation, submitting false booking inquiries, or using automated tools to scrape or overload the site.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or services provided will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, unless otherwise required by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
DJ Effects may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
